12-Step Free Indeed
"If therefore the Son shall make you Free, you shall be Free Indeed" - John 8:31-32, 36.

The objective of Free Indeed is to provide a friendly, informal setting where addictions can be identified and cured with the help of God and the 12-Step format. We do this by providing the most conductive environment possible for the healing of the person with life controlling problems. Free Indeed’s purpose is to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritual alive. (Confidentiality is strictly upheld!)

Audio Ministry

This ministry functions to help edify the praise and worship by controlling the sound and instruments and by making sure the speaker is heard clearly. Audio is also responsible for taking each service and corresponding with the Tape Ministry.

Bookstore

To serve the body of Christ, that they might purchase the word of God in the form of books, tapes, CD’s and bibles in a convenient accessible shopping situation.

Children’s Choir

Children love to sing and the Children’s Choir provides an opportunity for the children to minister unto the Lord in song. As they learn the songs, they are also ministered to as well as those in their household. The choir usually brings a selection during Youth Sunday.


Children’s Church

The thrust of Children’s Church is to help promote positive Christian living by helping to insure that the children’s emotional, spiritual and physical needs are ministered to. We do this by modeling, teaching and demonstrating God’s love to them on a level that is age appropriate. This can be done in the form of plays, skits, writings, dances, singing, crafts, parties and lots of fun and games throughout the year.

Church History

The function of this ministry is to document important events at the church as they happen, either in composition form or with photographs.

Counseling Ministry

As the word of God is ministered and the Holy Spirit prompts individuals to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, the Counseling Ministry explains to these individuals what has happened to them. If they desire further prayer or have additional questions, the counselors assist them as needed. Additional material is also given to them as they began their new life in Christ.

Dance Ministry

Adoration, praise and worship to God is shown through this ministry. Praise dancers are able to express their love for the Lord in the expression of the dance as the Spirit of the Lord leads them.

Deacon and Deaconesses

The office of Deacon/Deaconess is a ministry of dependable and trustworthy people who are submitted to the Pastors and the Leadership of the local church body, thus -- "The Ministry of Helps". This ministry assists the church body during times of need and functions as the legs and hands of the Pastor because the Pastor cannot be at all places at all times. The Deacons/Deaconesses assist in church services, building maintenance, weddings, special functions and other duties as need.

Drama Ministry

We use the dramatic arts as a vehicle to share the gospel of Jesus Christ at our home church, in our city and to the outermost world. This ministry is used to amplify the word of God so we will be prepared to enact modern day parables to accompany the pastor’s sermon, or to assist other ministries such as Prison Ministry, Choir and other outreach ministries.

Hospitality

The purpose for the Hospitality Ministry is to help a person feel comfortable in the body of Christ as well as show compassion when someone is in need. There are many small acts of love that can be done to make life easier and show the world there is a difference in the body of Christ. This may be done by giving a gift, sending flowers or a phone call.

Hostess Ministry

We are personal representatives of Jesus Christ to people as they first arrive at the church. Being a hostess serves as an opportunity to rely God’s agape love as we welcome and offer words of encouragement to all who walk through the door.

Intercessory Prayer

We meet at 9:00 a.m. every Saturday for Intercessory Prayer. All Christians have been called as intercessors, which is basically praying for the needs of someone else. During this time of unified prayer, we pray for the body of Christ, the church, individuals and other things as we are prompted by the Holy Spirit. "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God." Romans 8:26-27.

Marriage Fellowship - "We Are One"

We encourage and support marriages through the sharing of God’s love in laughter, joy and all the challenges that marriages face. We work to enhance harmony and mutual respect for husbands and wives by helping them to remove barrier that prevent couples from better understand one another. It’s through the word of God that all these things are possible. We meet monthly as activities permit.

Men’s Fellowship

Men’s Fellowship provides an opportunity for the men to encourage one another to be godly men, servant-leaders, Christian citizens, loving husbands an effective fathers. Our relationship with one another provide support and credibility. The time we spend with each other guide us into a deeper walk with Christ so that He might transform us from the inside out. The men get together once a month, fellowship with another church every other month and participate in several outing a year, camping, fishing, etc. (Hebrews 10:25)

Missionary

Elders William and Dorii Gbolo are standing in the gap for Liberia and we at River of Life assist them in their endeavors. The Gbolo family have a heart for this country because Liberia is the homeland of Elder William Gbolo. They have sent, food, clothes, buses, cars, vans and other items to this war-torn nation.

Music Ministry
"And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, and they were defeated". II Chonicles 20:22 - Amplified

The purpose of this ministry is to set the atmosphere for the manifested presence of God and to impact the lives of people with the word of God through song and praise. The band provides instrumental support for praise and worship, the choir, the pastors, vocalists, special music and the general flow of the service. This ministry challenges each of us to glorify the Lord with our gifts, by presenting music in a way that is edifying to the Lord and His church. The choir and band are also invited to minister in music throughout the Twin Cities.

Nursery Ministry

The nursery provides a service to the parents who come to our services. We see this as an opportunity to minister to children as unto the Lord. The Nursery is open on Sundays and we have a Crib Department, newborn - 11 months; Tiny Tot Department, 12-23 months; Toddler Department, two and three year olds.

Prison Ministry - Men

We strive to reach the unreachable, and teach those people who are said to be unteachable by demonstrating the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. This is done through the live of men and women who led similar backgrounds such as prison, substance abuse and addictions of all kinds, yet, delivered and transformed by the power of God. God is using these individuals to lead inmates to Jesus Christ, to build disciples by teaching them the world of God, to restore the inmates to manhood, to restore their families and relationships that they may become positive productive citizens. Our Tuesday bible study at Minnesota Correctional Facility in Lino-Lakes is the largest weekly bible study in the state.

Prison Ministry - Women’s

On a monthly basis teams from ROLCC go minister at the women’s prison and workhouse. When we go visit we seek to lead inmates to Jesus Christ (Mark 16:15); build disciples of Christ by teaching the inmates the uncompromised Word of God (Matt 28:19-20); intercede for each inmate who attends the services until Christ be formed in them (Gal. 4:19); and believe God for miracles that the inmate’s faith will be in the power of God and the wisdom of man (I Cor. 2:4-5).

Security

Keeping in mind the grace of God, the Father, and the times we live in the safety and security of the Pastors, members, guest and visitors is the number one priority. This ministry is to help establish an orderly peaceful and safe place to worship.

Single’s Ministry - Young Adults & Mature Adults

The purpose of the Single’s Ministry is for the singles in the body of Christ to be active. Getting saved doesn’t mean you have to give up having fun. Now, Christ is the center of your fun and together with other singles we are able to experience the joy of the Lord in activities that bring the singles in the body of Christ together. This is also an opportunity to share and uplift someone else who is struggling with their singleness. This ministry is to help singles to understand that being alone doesn’t mean you have to be lonely — it’s an exciting time to enjoy your singleness, discover who you really are and to love yourself as you draw closer to Christ.

Tape Ministry

The Tape Ministry is provided as an outreach to those who are not able to come to church as well as for those who do not attend church on a regular basis. Tapes are also made available for those who work and are unable to sit in on the sermon during Sunday morning service.

Transportation

To provide transportation to those who are unable to drive to church and/or church activities. It is also to transport ministries (choir, children, youth, etc.) to different functions.

Ushers

The chief purpose of this ministry is to make everyone who comes to our church feel wanted, comfortable and important. The ushers assist people in finding a seat, answer questions for visitors, maintain order by controlling movement during the service, help in receiving offerings, and assisting in communion.

Video Ministry

This ministry has several purposes. First is to get the word of God out visually, second is to help the Pastor who has ministered see how they can effectively communicate better and third is to work with the Historian Ministry to tape the history of the church.

Youth Ministry
". . . let Mount Zion rejoice and tell it to the generations following that this great God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide until we die." (paraphrased) - Psalms 48:11-14

The purpose of Generation Zion Youth Ministry is to equip our youth with God’s Word, His purpose for their lives, and His Holy Spirit, so that they may have all the information, peer support and adult participation in all of life’s challenges while growing and maturing into Godly adults. The Light Club for the teens is a Free Zone, free of alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and violence. Our Light Club meets bi-monthly on Fridays in this Free Zone environment, with a live D.J., dancing, games, contest and prizes.

Women’s Fellowship

The women meet once a month for fun, fellowship and the word of God specifically for such a time as this. The word is bought forth to inspire, encourage, and uplift the body of Christ. This ministry helps women express their desires and develop their talents with other women. The annual Candlelight Tea and Mother/Daughter Luncheon always brings strength in the sweet precious anointing of the Holy Spirit.
